Job description
Staking Facilities is an independent blockchain infrastructure company that has been running validators since 2017. We operate our own bare-metal infrastructure end to end, from private fiber across Europe to custom-built servers and in-house software, and we are one of the larger operators in the Solana ecosystem.
We are now looking for a Senior Solana Engineer who already works in the Solana stack today. You will own a meaningful part of how our Solana validator operations perform, stay ahead of the network’s fast-moving protocol and client landscape, and turn that knowledge into faster, safer and more efficient infrastructure.
What you will work on
- Run and improve our Solana validator setup with a focus on stability, security and performance, from client upgrades and network changes to incident response
- Follow Solana’s protocol and client developments closely, and decide what we test, adopt and roll out and when
- Tune the full path from hardware and network to validator configuration to keep latency and reliability where they need to be
- Build and maintain the automation and monitoring that make deployments, upgrades and observability repeatable
- Work with the partners and clients who depend on our infrastructure, and represent our Solana expertise in the ecosystem
- Share the on-call rotation with our infrastructure team
What we are looking for
You are likely working today at a large Solana validator operator, a staking provider, an RPC or node infrastructure provider or a protocol team that runs Solana in production. Your title might be Blockchain Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE or Infrastructure Engineer, usually combined with Solana. What counts is what you have operated and how well you understand how Solana works.
Must have
- Currently working in Solana, with state-of-the-art knowledge and practical experience
- Hands-on experience with a Solana validator
- Senior level, with ownership of production systems and architecture decisions under real operational pressure
- Based in Europe
- Fluent English
Nice to have
- Strong Linux and bare-metal experience
- Familiarity with Rust, Go or C to follow client code and changes
- Infrastructure automation with tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with other high-performance networks
- German
What we offer
- Remote work within European time zones with flexible working hours
- 30 days of paid vacation plus up to five days of paid leave per year for voluntary work
- Budget and support for learning and development, including conferences and team meetups
- A high-trust, remote-first culture with a base in Munich
- A competitive package with long-term growth in an independent, bootstrapped company
